About The Boston Bodyworker
The aspiration of The Boston Bodyworker is to educate the community of the many benefits and types of clinical massage therapy that are available. We want people to understand the practicality of consistent clinical massage therapy treatments. It is our mission to help people understand why a preventative clinical massage therapy wellness program should be in the forefront of every individuals health goals. There are a variety of clinical massage modalities accessible to you. It is our commitment to help you understand what clinical massage therapy is and decide what the best treatment is for your individual needs and to guide you in the direction you choose.
The Boston Bodyworker prides itself in being an Evidence Based Practice (EBP). Our clinical massage therapy practice is based on three essential components. The first component is that we stay current in research and gather accurate evidence which our massage therapists apply to each of their patient’s treatments. Secondly as an EBP, The Boston Bodyworker employs only massage therapists with considerable massage therapy and clinical experience. Our massage therapists, upon hire are immediately enrolled in our nationally recognized in-house training program, Boston Bodyworker University. Therapists learn both hands on and communication skills to allow them the best opportunity to connect with their patients. Most important, our massage therapists always consider the values and needs of the patient. Through evidence-based bodywork, our massage therapists gain results for our patients and through their knowledge, guide patients to the best form of treatment for the patient’s specific injury or need.
It has been our experience over the years from talking with patients and potential patients that as much as they wanted to “try a massage,” they had too many unanswered questions and have been poorly “programmed” by the media and other sources. So they decide to wait…. And wait…. And wait. By providing you with a user friendly web platform that serves to educate and convey many answers to common questions, we are able to eliminate some of the apprehension and provide you with a space that allows you to better determine if a massage is right for your needs.
The Boston Bodyworker wants to make it easy for you to begin your massage therapy treatments. Once educated and your questions answered, you may want to begin regular hour sessions of clinical massage. The Boston Bodyworker provides an environment unlike any other. WE ARE NOT A SPA! Our office environment has a clinical sense with the feeling and warmth of your own living room. No incense, no fluffy slippers, no white robes, just great bodywork to get you back on your feet and into the game. We offer the convenience of our Copley Square location, located in Boston’s historic Back Bay at at 575 Boylston Street, 2nd floor.
