The aspiration of The Boston Bodyworker is to educate society of the many benefits and types of massage therapy that are available. We want people to understand the practicality of consistent massage treatments. It is our mission to help people understand why a preventative wellness program should be in the forefront of every individuals health goals. There are a variety of massage modalities accessible to you. It is our commitment to help you understand what “clinical” massage is and decide what the best treatment is for your individual needs and to guide you in the direction you choose.
The Boston Bodyworker prides itself in being an Evidence Based Practice (EBP). Our practice is based on three essential components. The first component is that we stay current in research and gather accurate evidence which our therapists apply to each of their patient’s treatments. Secondly as an EBP, The Boston Bodyworker employs only clinicians with considerable clinical experience. Our therapists must have a minimum two years experience and also pass BBW-U, an in house training program. Most important, our therapists always consider the values and needs of the patient. Through evidence-based bodywork, our clinicians gain results for our patients and through their knowledge, guide patients to the best form of treatment for the patient’s specific injury or need.
It has been our experience over the years from talking with patients and potential patients that as much as they wanted to “try a massage,” they had too many unanswered questions and have been poorly “programmed” by the media and other sources. So they decide to wait…. And wait…. And wait. By providing you with a user friendly web platform, we are able to eliminate some of the apprehension.
The Boston Bodyworker wants to make it easy for you to begin your treatments of clinical massage. Once educated and your questions answered, you may want to begin regular hour sessions of massage. The Boston Bodyworker provides an environment unlike any other. WE ARE NOT A SPA! Our office environment has a clinical sense with the feeling and warmth of your own living room. No incense, no fluffy slippers, no white robes, just great bodywork to get you back on your feet and into the game.
